Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding are joined in the iconic tent by 12 of Britain’s best amateur bakers – all united in their aim to impress judges Paul Hollywood and (new to the team this series) Prue Leith. There are 30 baking challenges for the bakers to try their hand at. Those who don’t make the grade are asked to leave, while the one who consistently rises to the challenge is named Star Baker.

Paul and Prue Leith cast a critical eye over the contestants' efforts, while new hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding settle into their roles. As ever, it remains to be seen which of the unlucky bakers will be shown the door.

Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding are on hand to help the bakers calm their nerves.
