“The Office” is a mocumentary series based on the British show of the same name. The branch is run by the show’s protagonist, Avi Meshulam, a 40-year-old loser, who’s overweight and has severe self-image issues that turn him into a liar, a suck-up, and a generally unbearable human being. He’s absolutely sure that he’s a wonderful standup comedian, who wound up in this boring, humiliating job purely by chance. Management is constantly trying to fire him, his employees despise him, yet he is ever the optimist, and he talks in catch phrases lifted from the most banal management books. He is surrounded by the range of characters that make up the impossible mosaic of Israeli society. Romance flourishes, schemes are hatched, lamination machines are sold on sale– and everybody tries to make it through yet another day with their unbearable boss.

Season 1
Paper Office
Somewhere in the Yahud industrial zone there is a small office called "Paper Office". Avi Mushulam, the boss from hell, brings a film crew to show what a great boss he is. But while he proudly presents his crew, management tells him that the branch may have to be closed.
Secret investigation
A very young and very pretty female employee starts working in the office, and everybody goes insane. Avi finds out that someone has published a porn picture of him edited with Photoshop. Yariv takes upon himself to run the investigation.
Trivia Game
Yossi the quiet charming salesman is celebrating his 30th birthday. Dana organizes a small celebration but it conflicts with the trivia game organized by Avi and his good friend Shimi Guetta.
Assisting the enemy
Israel starts a military operation in the Gaza strip, and the entire office is on edge. Yariv arrives on uniform, all proud, and waits for the army to call him to duty. Lea, the religious employee, realizes that Abed, the Arab employee, speaks his native tongue and pressures Avi to forbid him from talking Arabic at times of emergency.

The office goes to a customer service training. Avi overpowers the lecture with his highlights of his failed career as a rock band leader. Dana fights with her boyfriend Lavi, making Yossi, who's secretly in love with her, very happy.
New secretary
Avi hires a new secretary, particularly so he can hit on her. Yelena, his boss, is outraged. The threat of the branch closing intensifies. Avi invites the office to a local pub, with intentions to come closer to the secretary, but the evening becomes a nightmare.
Big secret
Abed, the Arab employee, has a secret, so does Regev, the young employee. Both secrets are exposed and the office is shocked. Avi's new secretary sues him for sexual harassment putting his job at risk.
Fast promotion
Avi betrays his employees and agrees to closing the branch in return to him being promoted. The atmosphere in the office is rough while Avi buys expensive ties for himself and enjoys every second.
